About The Position

Mujin is seeking Software Developers to join its Warehouse Execution Systems team and help advance autonomous robotic systems used in production and distribution environments. The role involves designing, implementing, and testing algorithms that coordinate multiple robots, conveyors, and material-handling devices in real time. Applications are safety critical and involve autonomous interaction with the surrounding world in uncontrolled environments. Work is tested and deployed in simulation and on real-world, off-the-shelf and in-house robotics hardware. The Software Developer supports scalable Warehouse Execution System (WES) architecture for real-time decision-making and resource allocation, develops orchestration logic for inventory flow and order prioritization, and builds APIs and integration layers for ERP/WMS systems and automation platforms. The role also develops online scheduling algorithms to maximize throughput, collaborates across teams to support system interoperability, and troubleshoots complex issues in production environments. The position involves prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. The ability to work extended hours is noted, and travel is less than 20%, domestically and internationally.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience developing and implementing optimization algorithms for scheduling or resource-allocation problems.
  • Familiarity with distributed systems, orchestration logic, and real-time execution monitoring.
  • Programming skills in C++ and Python.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s or PhD degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience developing and optimizing algorithms.
  • Experience in flexible or customized system design for customer demands in warehouse automation.
  • Background in warehouse execution systems or solving large-scale scheduling problems.
  • Experience with real-time systems.
