About The Position

BinSentry is an extremely fast-growing ag-tech company focused on providing solutions for the agriculture supply chain that help increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance profitability. BinSentry offers technology solutions that pair best-in-class optical sensors with user-friendly software to provide customers with enhanced forecasting and decision-making capabilities. The company is looking for a Software Developer to help build the software that is changing the face of the feed industry. This is a new vacancy due to growing business needs. The role involves developing BinSentry's newest product line, working closely with the principal architect and product team to enhance the efficacy and accuracy of the ProSense HD product. The team is described as small, fun, and fast-moving with outcomes focus and tackling interesting and hard problems, driven by data. The developer will work across the product backend & ML pipeline, helping develop solutions to improve sensor accuracy and performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 2+ years of professional software development experience
• Proficiency in JavaScript (React, Node.js)
• Proficiency in Python

Nice To Haves

• Proficiency in AWS (DynamoDB, Lambda, SQS, Serverless)
• Computer vision, ML architecture & problem solving ability
• 3D image capturing experience, particularly around accuracy

Responsibilities

• Collect and use data to understand key performance characteristics of our sensors
• Report progress, blockers, new learnings
• Investigate & propose solutions to current technical challenges
• Deliver outcomes quickly and iteratively
