About The Position

The Software Developer position is responsible for working with business teams to plan and deliver projects using current technologies. This role contributes across the full application life cycle, from concept and design through build, testing, release, and ongoing support. The developer will write and maintain source code across application platforms and help strengthen QA practices by suggesting improvements to testing processes, tools, and automation. A key aspect of this role is to learn about the business, including the people, processes, and goals behind each project, to ensure solutions solve the real problem. The developer will also seek out opportunities to simplify, automate, or improve existing processes and share those ideas with the team. A figure-it-out mentality is essential, taking on unfamiliar problems with curiosity, digging in, and knowing when to ask for help. This role involves diagnosing and troubleshooting system issues, working to understand root causes, and learning new programming languages, tools, and technologies as needs change. Collaboration and learning from experienced developers, IT teams, and business stakeholders are expected, as is managing assigned tasks to meet deadlines and adjusting as priorities and requirements change. Assistance in developing technical specifications and documentation is also part of the role.
