About The Position

Uline is seeking a Java Software Developer to develop, deploy, and maintain sophisticated Java applications for its growing North American company. The role involves working with a development team in a collaborative, on-site environment and using industry-leading technologies and coding standards to deliver applications aligned with business needs. The developer will contribute to architectural design reviews and project planning, support consistent development processes, and mentor fellow developers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or relevant programming education and experience.
• At least 4 years of hands-on Java development experience.
• Strong track record building enterprise solutions using the Spring framework.
• Extensive experience with REST web services, microservice environments, Git, JPA, SQL, JSON, SOAP, XML, and code versioning tools.
• Working knowledge of caching and service discovery.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and Agile methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Craft, test, and deploy robust Java applications aligned with business needs using industry-leading technologies and coding standards.
• Conduct code reviews, optimize performance, and ensure application responsiveness and quality.
• Assist in architectural design reviews and project planning.
• Guide and mentor fellow developers and demonstrate leadership in cross-functional development practices.
• Collaborate with the development team to ensure consistent processes and timely deliverables.
