About The Position

Uline is seeking a Java Software Developer to develop, deploy, and maintain sophisticated Java applications. The role involves building enterprise solutions aligned with business needs, contributing to architectural design and project planning, and collaborating with the development team to support consistent processes and timely delivery. The position is on-site at 2200 S. Lakeside Drive, Waukegan, Illinois.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or relevant programming education and experience.
• At least 4 years of hands-on Java development experience, including enterprise solutions using the Spring framework.
• Extensive experience with REST web services, microservice environments, Git, JPA, SQL, JSON, SOAP, XML, and code versioning tools.
• Working knowledge of caching and service discovery.
• Experience with CI/CD tools.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Craft, test, and deploy robust Java applications aligned with business needs using industry-leading technologies and coding standards.
• Conduct code reviews, optimize performance, and ensure applications are responsive and high quality.
• Assist with architectural design reviews and project planning.
• Guide and mentor fellow developers and demonstrate leadership in cross-functional development practices.
• Collaborate with the development team to ensure consistent processes and timely deliverables.
