About The Position

Amentum is seeking a detail-oriented Front-End Developer to build intuitive, responsive, accessible user interfaces for web applications. The role focuses on user experience, design systems, and modern front-end technologies. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week. A TS/SCI with Poly clearance is required. The developer will create and maintain scalable, high-performance web applications; work with UX/UI and back-end developers; translate design mockups and wireframes into code; and optimize applications for speed, scalability, accessibility, and compatibility across devices and browsers. The role also includes maintaining code quality through testing and reviews, keeping current with emerging technologies, and recommending improvements. Employees are expected to uphold Amentum’s safety, quality, and procedure-compliance policies, complete applicable training, and follow relevant operational, safety, quality, and environmental requirements. The stated compensation range is $180,000–$200,000. Requirements

Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
Experience with modern frameworks or libraries such as Angular, React, or Vue.js.
Familiarity with RESTful APIs and asynchronous request handling.
Understanding of version control systems such as Git.
Strong attention to detail and a passion for clean, maintainable code.
Exposure to Agile development environments.
TS/SCI with Poly clearance.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, design, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
At least 5 years of experience.

Nice To Haves

Experience with design systems and component libraries.
Knowledge of WCAG accessibility standards and best practices.
Experience with performance optimization and analytics tools.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain scalable, high-performance web applications using modern front-end frameworks.
