About The Position

The position involves supporting and enhancing large enterprise applications, analyzing application performance, and developing technical documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline. Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
• 15+ years of Java application development experience.
• 10+ years of SQL database development and administration experience.
• 8+ years supporting and enhancing large enterprise applications in a collaborative development environment.
• 5+ years of Linux administration and application deployment experience.
• Experience developing, testing, debugging, and maintaining enterprise software applications.
• Strong experience analyzing application performance and implementing optimization strategies.
• Experience developing technical documentation and software design artifacts.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with the Atlassian tool suite, especially JIRA.
• Experience working within Agile/Scrum software development environments.
• Experience supporting Texas State Government applications.
• Experience working with the Texas Department of Public Safety (TxDPS).
• Experience modernizing legacy mainframe applications into Java/SQL-based architectures.
• Experience with enterprise software modernization and migration initiatives.
