About The Position

As a member of Oracle’s software engineering division, the Software Developer 3 designs, develops, troubleshoots, and/or tests software. The role applies knowledge of software architecture to develop, debug, or design software applications or operating systems according to provided design specifications. The developer builds enhancements within existing software architectures and may suggest architectural improvements. The position may be performed remotely by telecommuting.

The employer will accept a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field and one year of experience in the job offered or in a Software Developer-related occupation.

Requirements

• A Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• One year of experience in the job offered or in a Software Developer-related occupation.
• Experience with object-oriented languages such as Java, Go, C, C++, Python, or PHP.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and web services.
• Experience with containerized applications and orchestration.
• Experience with Linux and scripting.
• Experience with a database management system such as MySQL or Oracle DB.
• Knowledge of operating systems, multithreading, and concurrency.
• Knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
• Knowledge of distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, troubleshoot, and/or test or quality-assure software.
• Develop, debug, or design software applications or operating systems according to provided design specifications.
• Build enhancements within an existing software architecture.
• Suggest improvements to software architecture.
