About The Position

Design, develop, troubleshoot, and/or test/QA software. As a member of the software engineering division, apply knowledge of software architecture to develop, debug, or design software applications or operating systems according to provided design specifications. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and/or suggest improvements to the architecture. The position may telecommute.

Duties and tasks are varied and complex and require independent judgment. The employee is fully competent in their area of expertise and may have a project lead role and/or supervise lower-level personnel.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field and 1 year of experience in the job offered or a Software Developer-related occupation; alternatively, a BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to the functional area.
• Object-oriented languages such as Java, Go, C, C++, Python, or PHP.
• RESTful APIs and web services.
• Containerized applications and orchestration.
• Linux and scripting.
• Database management systems such as MySQL or Oracle DB.
• Operating systems, multithreading, and concurrency.
• Data structures and algorithms.
• Distributed systems.
• 4 years of software engineering or related experience.
