Prime Air is seeking an experienced Software Development Engineer who combines superb technical, research and analytical capabilities with a demonstrated ability to get the right things done quickly and effectively. Experience with embedded system development, and debugging issues spanning the hardware/software boundary are preferred. Previous experience in developing safety-critical software is also valued. A successful candidate will be comfortable working with a team of top-notch developers and collaborating with our research teams. Requirements

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
  • 3+ years of embedded firmware development experience

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with embedded system development, and debugging issues spanning the hardware/software boundary are preferred.
  • Previous experience in developing safety-critical software is also valued.
  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
  • Experience in embedded development in C/C++

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and test critical features for embedded applications and platforms that power the Prime Air Drone.
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement fixes for complex functional and performance issues.
  • Collaborate with our hardware teams and vendors to enable new computing hardware and functionality.
