About The Position

The District Attorney’s Office is seeking a collaborative, customer-focused Software Applications Specialist to serve as a technology and operational resource for legal and administrative teams. This hands-on role is part of an internal team that provides support in the office and in courtrooms. The specialist troubleshoots software and hardware, provides training, and helps ensure office technology works when needed. Strong communication and a helpful attitude are valued alongside technical expertise.

Requirements

One year of college-level coursework in computer science or a closely related field, and three years of experience providing computer hardware and software support. Applicable certifications may substitute for the education and experience requirements, which may vary by department.
Knowledge of network and computer hardware and software applications, networking essentials, peripheral equipment, data processing terminology and methodology, computer database retrieval capabilities, modern office procedures, and effective customer-service practices.
Ability to identify and coordinate resolution of computer software and operational problems; operate computer systems and software; maintain network and computer software; and effectively train staff in computer applications.
Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with people from diverse backgrounds, including members of the public, coworkers, and vendors.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Ability to translate technical solutions into user-friendly language and patiently assist users at all experience levels.

Responsibilities
