About The Position

The SOD (Special Orders Department) Product Manager supports field sales personnel and their product sales goals by sourcing specialty products that meet customer needs. The role participates in sourcing products that complement the overall product strategy and fulfill customer requirements, researches suppliers able to provide quality specialty products in a timely and cost-effective manner, solicits supplier pricing, and prepares prompt product quotations for sales representatives.

The position is based onsite at the Applied MSS facility in Strongsville, Ohio, and reports directly to the Director of Product Management. It is suited to someone with a solid knowledge base in cutting tools, hydraulics, and fasteners. Ongoing training, feedback, and support are provided.

Requirements

• At least 6 months of product- and industry-related work experience, or equivalent.
• Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.
• The role is expected to be performed onsite at the Applied MSS facility in Strongsville, Ohio.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of cutting tools, hydraulics, and fasteners.
• Self-starter and self-motivated.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Relationship-building skills with internal customers and vendors at all levels.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks concurrently.
• Working knowledge of Excel is preferred.
• Experience with SAP is a plus.
