About The Position

NiteLines USA is seeking Social Workers to provide services at Aurora Public Schools’ Special Education and Special Service Provider location in Aurora, Colorado. The role involves direct services to students receiving special education, crisis management, and assessments supporting Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Hours are designated by the school, and the stated pay rate is $38.00 per hour.

Responsibilities

Provide group and individual counseling based on IEP mental health service goals.
Develop individual, group, or system-level interventions to address academic, social, emotional, behavioral, and mental health needs related to educational progress.
Provide mental health services in general education classrooms.
Document services, including progress reports, progress monitoring, service logs, and IEP goals.
Communicate and consult with outside service providers, such as caseworkers and therapists, when appropriate.
Collaborate to address factors in a child's home, school, and community that affect adjustment at school.
Conduct suicide risk assessments.
Assist team members with threat assessments and with developing and implementing safety plans.
Respond to crisis situations and provide related individual and classroom support.
Identify and report child abuse and neglect to local authorities.
Complete social, emotional, behavioral, and adaptive skills assessments.
Interpret assessment results and write evaluation reports.
Collect data and develop Functional Behavioral Assessments and Behavioral Intervention Plans.
Conduct school observations and biopsychosocial interviews with families, teachers, and students.
Review records, develop IEP goals, and create Educational Impact Statements.
