About The Position

This is a temporary travel assignment for a Social Worker on a high school campus in Thornton, Colorado. The role involves providing in-person mental health services to students, including counseling and crisis intervention, as part of their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). The Social Worker will collaborate with school staff and families to support student well-being and implement IEP goals. The assignment is for an unspecified number of weeks with a 5x8 Days shift.

Requirements

In-person, on-site work at a high school campus; travel assignment with a 5x8 Days shift
Ability to complete required district clearances, including fingerprinting (Colorado CBI and FBI) prior to start
Experience delivering mental health services under IEPs; SPED experience preferred
Comfortable working with high school students who have mild/moderate, affective, and significant support needs

Responsibilities

Provide mental health services as written on students’ IEPs, including counseling and crisis intervention as needed
Deliver direct mental health services to high school students with mild-to-moderate, affective needs, and significant support needs
Collaborate with teachers, school counselors, administrators, and families to implement IEP goals and support student well-being
Document services and progress in student records and participate in IEP meetings and care planning
Adapt interventions to align with SPED-related requirements and campus policy; respond to changing caseload needs
