About The Position

Peak Resources is seeking a full-time Social Worker, Social Services, Degreed, to join the team at Peak Resources Alamance. The role plans, organizes, develops, and directs the facility’s Social Services Department in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, regulations, company policies and procedures, and directions from the Administrator. The department’s work is intended to ensure that residents’ medically related emotional and social needs are met and maintained individually. Peak Resources describes itself as a skilled nursing, memory care, and assisted living company with nine locations across North Carolina, focused on residents’ well-being and happiness. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, or a bachelor’s degree in a human services field such as sociology, gerontology, special education, rehabilitation counseling, or psychology.
One year of supervised social work experience in a health care setting working directly with individuals.
Current social work license in the state, if applicable.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Proficient computer skills.
Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of other individuals in the workplace.

Nice To Haves

At least two years of experience in a supervisory capacity in a hospital, nursing facility, or other medical facility.
At least one year of experience in a long-term care facility.

Responsibilities

Plan, organize, develop, and direct the overall operation of the facility’s Social Services Department.
Ensure the department operates in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, regulations, company policies and procedures, and directions from the Administrator.
Ensure residents’ medically related emotional and social needs are met and maintained on an individual basis.
