About The Position

Metropolitan Behavioral Health, a UHS facility, is hiring a Social Worker to primarily manage its newly developed Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), while also assisting with the Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP). The position performs case management, group therapy, assessments, and information and referrals as needed. The role calls for intuition, flexibility, leadership skills, and a strong social work background, and works in close contact with the Outpatient Director.

The IOP is held Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. On Tuesday and Thursday, the Social Worker assists the PHP, which runs from 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The qualifications section lists hours of Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with flexibility noted.

Metropolitan Behavioral Hospital is a 144-bed behavioral health facility offering inpatient programs for adolescents, adults, and older adults, behavioral health assessments, services for co-occurring behavioral health and substance use issues, and outpatient group, family, and individual therapy.

Requirements

• Master of Social Work (MSW).
• Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW).
• At least 1 to 3 years of experience in a psychiatric health care facility.
• Direct experience in family and group therapies, crisis intervention, and treatment skills.
• Strong clinical assessment skills.
• A combination of education, licensure, experience, and/or student internship hours may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP).
• Provide case management and group therapy for IOP participants.
• Assist with the Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP).
• Conduct assessments.
• Provide information and referrals as needed.
• Work in close contact with the Outpatient Director.
