About The Position

Metropolitan Behavioral Health, a 144-bed behavioral health facility, provides a full continuum of inpatient services for adolescents, adults, and older adults, with specialty programs and 24-hour behavioral health assessments. The facility also offers programs for co-occurring behavioral health and substance use issues and a robust outpatient program utilizing group, family, and individual therapy. The Social Worker performs social services functions to meet patients' bio-psychosocial needs, enabling them to access therapeutic treatment skills to achieve optimal emotional health. This includes basic consultation, teaching, specialized clinical social work services, crisis intervention, short-term and long-term family therapy, and providing information and referrals.

Requirements

MSW or MA in Counseling
LMSW or LLMSW; LPC or LLPC
At least 1 to 3 years’ experience in a psychiatric health care facility
Direct experience in family and group therapies, crisis intervention, and treatment skills
Strong clinical assessment skills
Combination of education, licensure and experience and/or student internship hours may be considered

Responsibilities

Assisting patients in meeting their bio-psychosocial needs
