About The Position
Join UT Health Tyler as a day-shift, PRN Social Worker (MSW) Case Manager in Tyler, Texas. The role coordinates patient care and services, promotes quality care and effective resource use, and provides leadership within the interdisciplinary team. The Social Worker assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates services in collaboration with the team, and provides therapeutic counseling to patients, families or significant others, and interdisciplinary team members to strengthen coping and functional skills. UT Health Tyler is the system’s flagship hospital, serving hundreds of thousands of people annually. Its midtown location includes a Level I trauma center, a comprehensive stroke center, the region’s only EMCO program, and a Level III NICU. The medical staff includes more than 500 physicians and a full complement of subspecialty groups.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Social Work.
- Licensed by the State of Texas, or able to obtain licensure within 6 months of hire.
Nice To Haves
- 1–3 years of acute care experience.
