The Social Work department provides emotional support and counseling to children and their families. They provide crisis intervention services, help with adjustment issues, grief and loss counseling, mental health assessments, case coordination, community advocate support, and short-term therapeutic interventions. We are hiring a Part Time .6 FTE Clinical Social Worker, to complete our Cardiovascular Care Social Work Team. This role will join together with our multidisciplinary medical team, to see patients and families in our Specialty Clinic. We provide psychosocial assessment, mental health support and brief therapy, family support, and crisis support. Our team supports patients throughout their diagnosis including hospitalization. The growth of our Cardiovascular Care service area is robust and will continue into the future. Our Social Work team is rooted in equitable care and trauma informed practice; we are prepared to support our growing patient population with a vast range of medical diagnosis and individual needs.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in social work required
  • Experience providing crisis intervention
  • Two years experience with counseling in a health care related setting or two years experience in a pediatric related setting or completion of graduate internship in either of the above settings
  • Knowledge of community resources
