About The Position

Peak Resources is seeking a qualified, degreed Social Worker to join its Social Services team at Peak Resources Alamance. Peak Resources operates skilled nursing, memory care, and assisted living communities across North Carolina and focuses on residents’ well-being and quality of life. The Social Worker plans, organizes, develops, and directs the facility’s Social Services Department in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, regulations, and company policies and procedures, as well as directions from the Administrator. The role helps ensure residents’ medically related emotional and social needs are met and maintained on an individual basis. The typical schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Full-time benefits include health, dental, vision, and life insurance, paid time off, and participation in the company 401(k) plan.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, or a bachelor’s degree in a human services field such as sociology, gerontology, special education, rehabilitation counseling, or psychology.
One year of supervised social work experience in a health care setting working directly with individuals.
Current social work license in the state, if applicable.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Proficient computer skills.
Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of other individuals in the workplace.

Nice To Haves

At least two years of experience in a supervisory capacity in a hospital, nursing facility, or other medical facility.
At least one year of experience in a long-term care facility.

Responsibilities

Plan, organize, develop, and direct the overall operation of the facility’s Social Services Department.
Follow applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, regulations, and company policies and procedures, along with directions from the Administrator.
Help ensure residents’ medically related emotional and social needs are met and maintained on an individual basis.
