About The Position

The Social Worker (MSW) works in Oncology Support Services at an outpatient clinic and cancer care center. The role requires a Master of Social Work degree, knowledge of community programs such as insurance and aid, and Epic experience. Experience in cancer care is preferred. The position is scheduled for five 8-hour day shifts per week. On-call work is not required, and the clinician will not float outside the assigned scope to meet facility needs. Block scheduling may be accommodated. Travelers may be called off for one 8-hour shift per two-week period; 72 hours per two weeks are guaranteed. Candidates must have a permanent address at least 50 miles from the facility. Time off requests are approved individually upon offer. The facility is a Magnet outpatient clinic/cancer care center and Level II trauma facility. Business casual attire is specified; parking is free.

Requirements

• Master of Social Work (MSW) degree.
• At least 1 year of experience.
• Knowledge of community programs, including insurance and aid.
• Epic experience required.
• Alaska license required; pending license is not accepted.
• Candidate's permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in cancer care preferred.
• BLS preferred.
