About The Position

The Social Work department provides emotional support and counseling to children and their families. They provide crisis intervention services, help with adjustment issues, grief and loss counseling, mental health assessments, case coordination, community advocate support, and short-term therapeutic interventions. Seeking a clinical social worker (LGSW or LICSW) to support critical social work coverage on Night shifts. Clinical social workers provide trauma informed care and work from an equity lens to support patients and families facing unexpected admissions, trauma, grief/loss, end of life and basic needs. Primary responsibility to complete crisis mental health assessments and support timely transfers or safe discharges developed in partnership with caregivers. Provider will be cross trained to cover in both St. Paul and Minneapolis with ability to provide virtual support between campuses. Coverage may be needed both weekday and weekend nights.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in social work required.
  • Experience providing crisis intervention.
  • Two years experience with counseling in a health care related setting or two years experience in a pediatric related setting or completion of graduate internship in either of the above settings.
  • Knowledge of community resources.
  • Ability to provide good, clear documentation of work.
  • Minnesota State LGSW, LICSW preferred.
