About The Position

The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) is seeking a Social Worker Clinical Supervisor for Cherry Hospital. This position involves providing administrative and clinical supervision to staff, managing cases, and ensuring compliance with standards. Cherry Hospital is a state-of-the-art psychiatric facility serving individuals with the greatest need and fewest resources in eastern North Carolina. The role requires knowledge of behavioral and psychosocial problems, psychopathology, and best practice treatment modalities for individuals with serious and persistent mental illness (SPMI). The supervisor will also be responsible for program development and performance improvement, and effective communication with management, community agencies, and clinical teams.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in social work from an appropriately accredited institution.
  • Two years of experience as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker as required by the NC Social Work Certification and Licensure Board.
  • Licensure by the North Carolina Social Work Certification and Licensure Board as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.

  • Considerable knowledge of behavioral, psychosocial problems, adolescent and adult(geriatric) psychopathology and their treatment including knowledge regarding therapy techniques and modalities that serve as best practices for the SPMI population.
