About The Position

Provide individuals, families, and groups with psychosocial support to cope with chronic, acute, or terminal illnesses. Services include advising family caregivers, providing patients with information and counseling, and making referrals for other services. The position may also provide case and care management or interventions designed to promote health, prevent disease, and address barriers to access to healthcare. This is a full-time position at Penn State Health Lancaster Medical Center in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. The schedule is four 10-hour shifts: Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. Shift differential pay may be available based on company policy or union contract.

Requirements

Master's degree in social work.
Undergo a background check appropriate for the position's responsibilities.

Responsibilities

Provide psychosocial support to individuals, families, and groups coping with chronic, acute, or terminal illnesses.
Advise family caregivers.
Provide patients with information and counseling.
Refer patients to other services.
Provide case and care management, as applicable.
Provide interventions designed to promote health, prevent disease, and address barriers to healthcare access.
