The Behavioral Health Clinician evaluates patients, develops and implements a goal-oriented treatment plan, provides or refers patients for necessary and appropriate therapy, and completes a discharge plan. This work is accomplished in collaboration with the patient, their supports, community providers, and a multi-disciplinary treatment team. Garnet Health System provides a compensation range to comply with the New York State law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits. When determining a team member’s compensation and/or rate, several factors may be considered as applicable (e.g., location, specialty, service line, years of relevant experience, education, credentials, negotiated contracts, budget and internal equity).

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Social Work or Mental Health Counseling
  • Two years’ experience in psychiatric social work, counseling or comparable experience/setting/population preferred
  • Certified in New York State LMSW or LCSW or LMHC
  • Current BLS required
  • Must attend hospital crisis training program within 3 months of hire or transfer and annually thereafter
