About The Position

Florida Parishes Human Services Authority seeks a Social Worker to provide clinical assessment and treatment to clients with mental health diagnoses, substance use disorders, and medication-assisted treatment needs, including high-risk patients in crisis. The agency provides person-centered services to adults and children who meet treatment criteria for substance use disorders, developmental disabilities, and/or mental health needs, with the goal of supporting meaningful and productive lives in their communities. The position is located at the Rosenblum Behavioral Health Clinic in Hammond, Louisiana. It is a probational appointment or job appointment. The position is eligible for premium pay of $1.00 per hour for hours worked performing direct patient care. The listed special entrance rate is $24.35 to $41.38 per hour, and salary may be negotiable based on the selected applicant’s experience. The advertised maximum is the maximum salary available in this job title, not necessarily the maximum amount that may be offered to a new hire.

Requirements

Possess a current Louisiana license to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
Have a master's degree in social work followed by three years of social services experience.

Nice To Haves

Substance abuse treatment experience is strongly recommended.
Having passed the ADC, AADC, or EMAC exam at the time of appointment is strongly recommended.

Responsibilities

Complete intake and psychosocial evaluations, primarily for adults and some aftercare individuals.
Provide technical and clinical input on diagnosis and treatment during interdisciplinary staff consultations with staff prescribers to establish treatment plans.
Complete correspondence, written reports, and other communications with agencies regarding an individual's care.
Provide crisis evaluations for individuals in acute distress when indicated by family members, coroners, law authorities, or others; this may involve complex and specialized crisis intervention, psychosocial evaluation, and specialized clinical treatment.
