About The Position

AAHSD is seeking a Social Worker 4 to provide behavioral health services to individuals with emotional and/or behavioral disorders, including addictive disorders. The role provides direct clinical care alongside a psychiatrist and other treatment team members, delivers evidence-based therapy, documents services in an electronic health records system, and connects individuals with community and contracted resources. The position is located at the Tyler Behavioral Health Clinic in the Acadiana Area Human Services District. The site is approved by the National Health Service Corps, and qualifying social workers may be eligible to participate in its loan repayment program. The appointment may be probational or promotional. The schedule is eight hours per day, Monday through Friday. Applicants must hold a current Louisiana Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) license and meet the education and experience qualifications. The official job specifications are defined by the State Civil Service.

Requirements

Hold a current Louisiana license to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
Have a master's degree in social work followed by three years of social services experience.
Experience working with individuals who have emotional and/or behavioral disorders, including addictive disorders.

Responsibilities

Provide direct client care in conjunction with a psychiatrist and other treatment team members.
Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions through individual, group, and family therapy.
Enter therapy notes into an electronic health records system accurately and in a timely manner.
Liaise between individuals and community or contract resources as needed, in addition to providing clinical treatment.
Work in accordance with applicable licensing and governmental laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures, and District guidelines.
Possess and maintain licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker through the Louisiana State Board of Social Work Examiners.
