About The Position

SCLHSA is seeking a compassionate and experienced Social Worker 4 to provide advanced professional behavioral health services within community programs. The role is based at SCLHSA's Behavioral Health Crisis Center (BHCC) in Thibodaux, Louisiana, and offers the opportunity to serve clients and support community programs in a mission-driven environment. The position is a probationary appointment. The actual starting salary depends on the selected applicant’s education and experience.

Requirements

• Hold a current Louisiana license to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
• Hold a master's degree in social work followed by three years of social services experience.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate clients and recommend the appropriate level of behavioral health treatment.
• Interview clients to assess needs and issues, including education, employment, and physical or mental impairment, and determine the degree and nature of behavioral health-related problems.
• Provide advanced clinical services through individual, family, and/or group counseling to a complex behavioral health caseload.
• Prepare person-centered plans for clients based on recommended levels of care.
• Provide written and verbal documentation and consultation to other agencies.
• Assist the clinic manager in designing and implementing programs that address community needs.
