Social Worker 2-Forensic Early Intervention Service
About The Position
The Forensic Early Intervention Service (FEIS) collaborates with the Office of the Solicitor General to offer outpatient services, including assessment, treatment, and discharge planning, for specific inmates at the Toronto South Detention Centre and the Vanier Detention Centre for Women. These services are intended for inmates on remand who are suspected of having a major mental illness and may be at risk of being unfit for trial, require forensic mental health intervention to remain Fit to Stand Trial, or are awaiting admission to CAMH. FEIS operates within the Toronto South Detention Centre (160 Horner Ave, Etobicoke) and the Vanier Detention Centre for Women (655 Martin St, Milton, ON). This specific role is based at the Vanier Detention Centre for Women in Milton, ON, with occasional travel between sites potentially required.
