About The Position

SCLHSA is seeking a compassionate and experienced Social Worker 1-4 to provide advanced professional behavioral health services within community programs across South Central Louisiana. The role is based at SCLHSA's Terrebonne Behavioral Health Center in Houma, Louisiana, and offers the opportunity to contribute to a mission-driven team focused on improving quality of life through education, prevention, intervention, and treatment.

The position is part of a career progression group and may be filled at the Social Worker 1, 2, 3, or 4 level, depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate. The role provides opportunities to advance within the job series. This posting is for two vacancies and is a probationary appointment.

Requirements

• Possess a current Louisiana license to practice as a Licensed Master's Social Worker (LMSW), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Certified Social Worker (CSW).
• Hold a master's degree in social work.
• Permanent status will not be granted without Louisiana LMSW or LCSW licensure; a CSW credential will not be accepted for granting permanent status.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate clients and recommend the appropriate level of behavioral health treatment.
• Interview clients to assess needs and problems, including education, employment, and physical and mental impairment, to determine the degree and nature of behavioral health-related problems.
• Provide advanced clinical services through individual, family, and/or group counseling to a complex caseload of behavioral health clients.
• Prepare person-centered plans for clients based on recommended levels of care.
• Provide written and verbal documentation and consultation to other agencies.
• Assist the clinic manager in designing and implementing programs that address community needs.
