About The Position

The Education Program Clinical Supervisor provides clinical and administrative supervision to lower level social workers and allied clinical staff, fulfills administrative responsibilities assigned by the Chief of Clinical Services, and collaborates with other professional staff to formulate and provide appropriate care for children/adolescents with severe emotional and behavioral disorders. The purpose of this position is to supervise, administer, and direct the clinical services that social workers are providing to clients/families within the agency.

Requirements

Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited college or university.
Four years of experience rendering clinical social work services in a health care or treatment setting subsequent to the receipt of an approved Master’s degree in Social Work.
License as a Master Social Worker (approved for independent practice), Certified Social Worker or Certified Social Worker-Clinical issued by the Maryland Board of Social Work Examiners.
Possess an appropriate operator's license valid in the State of Maryland (if assigned duties requiring the operation of an automobile).

Nice To Haves

Experience providing clinical services to children and/or adolescents with emotional, behavioral, or psychiatric needs in a mental health, educational, or residential setting.
Experience providing clinical and/or administrative supervision to social workers or other behavioral health professionals.
Three semester hours of special education coursework and possess a certificate from the Maryland Board of Education in School Social Work (for School Social Workers).
