The Integrated Behavioral Health internship program for social workers within Children's Minnesota offers unique opportunities for MSW students to learn and develop clinical skills within our IBH (Integrated Behavioral Health) programs located throughout the metro. Integrated Behavioral Health (IBH) includes therapists embedded within primary care clinics that provide brief individual and family therapy, support for immediate mental health needs, and support for patients with complex medical needs. These placements are available Monday-Friday with hours between 7:45 and 6:00. Students will have the opportunity to interact with other clinicians and interns from the mental health and medical departments at Children's through shadowing and learning opportunities. We place an emphasis on candidates with a strong background in cultural awareness and issues related to equity and diversity. We are interested in supporting students while working from an equity lens, and are committed to educating and supporting students who reflect the diversity of the patients and families we serve.
