The Psychiatric and Psychological departments provide services on both the Minneapolis and St. Paul campuses, with limited services at Woodwinds in Woodbury and Children's West in Minnetonka. Specific services include individual and family therapy, psychological assessment, neuropsychological assessment, and psychiatric evaluation and medication management (Available to children who are already patients of Children's mental health, pediatric, or subspecialty clinics.).

Requirements

  • Enrollment in high school or equivalent OR enrolled in/graduated from applicable educational program/secondary education.
  • Proficient communication, critical thinking, and prioritization skills required.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak effectively in English to perform functions of the position.
  • Skills in basic computer operation.

Responsibilities

  • Undertakes an internship designed to provide on-the-job training and experience to High School Students, individuals recently completing relevant education or certifications and those recently completing 2- or 4-year degrees.
  • Engages in various work assignments, projects, and activities of varying complexity, structured to enable the intern to gain the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities needed to perform within their chose career.
  • Receives training and mentorship in planning and carrying out activities and assignments.
