About The Position

SB Nation is seeking a highly creative and ambitious Social Video Producer. The ideal candidate has experience creating native social content as well as optimizing existing assets for social platforms, and can comfortably sit across the creative and operational aspects of social media publishing. You are a strategic storyteller who can showcase the scale of the SB Nation network—spanning almost 200 fan communities—while bridging the gap between editorial creativity and business goals. Our ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver who can navigate the technical and analytical demands of social video during a pivotal growth period for the brand. This role will report into the Senior Director, Editorial and Business Operations and work in close partnership with leadership to execute a social vision that elevates SB Nation across all major sports.

Requirements

• 3+ years of digital video experience with a focus on social growth and brand partnerships
• Experience managing an ongoing social programming schedule mixing editorial and sponsored posts across video and text
• Expert proficiency in Adobe Premiere; proficient in Photoshop and After Effects for social graphics
• Ability to interpret social metrics and translate data into actionable creative insights
• Strong technical knowledge of Sony camera systems, lighting, and audio for independent shoots
• Deep knowledge of the storylines and fan culture across the NBA, MLB, NFL, WNBA, NHL, NCAA and Soccer
• A proactive, self-starter mindset capable of managing shoot logistics and production hurdles
• Comfortable iterating on ideas with leadership and providing/receiving direct creative feedback
• Ability to travel for major sporting events

Responsibilities

• Produce multimedia posts across SB Nation channel every week, telling the story of the network through its personalities
• Identify and edit clips by SB Nation talents from around the network
• Drive execution of sponsorships across campaigns including posting, tracking and optimizing
• Post links and text to social platforms regularly
• Partner with the Senior Director, Editorial and Business Operations to execute a social vision that elevates SB Nation and its on-camera talent across all major sports leagues
• Pitch, shoot, and produce social content ranging from "lo-fi" trends to high-end studio segments
• Build efficient production systems that allow the wider network to contribute to social growth at scale
• Monitor platform analytics and use data to inform content strategy and creative pivots
• Collaborate with freelance production staff to provide feedback throughout the process and manage deadlines
• Maintain a high bar for pacing, graphics, and social-first aesthetics
