About The Position

Arlington Public Schools is seeking a Social Studies Teacher for grades 26/27 at Jefferson. This role involves planning and delivering the social studies curriculum, incorporating differentiated instruction, and utilizing various instructional strategies including technology. The teacher will collaborate with colleagues, use data to inform instruction, and communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff. Requirements

• Must have or be eligible for Virginia licensure.
• History and Social Science; Middle Ed Social Studies endorsement.
• Experience working with middle school students.
• Ability to interact collaboratively with students, school staff and parents.
• Proficiency with technology and an understanding of instructional applications of technology.
• Ability and experience with a diverse population of students.
• Ability to be flexible, dependable and highly organized.
• Strong interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

• Dual endorsement in English as a Second Language and/or Special Education, or in any other content area, is preferred but not required.
