Social Studies Teacher
About The Position
Clint ISD is hiring a 6th grade Social Studies Teacher at East Montana Middle School for the 2026–2027 school year. The position has a salary range of $60,000–$61,600 and a 187-day contract. The teacher must be able to teach dual-credit studies through EPCC. Applicants must submit the required application documents to be considered for an interview. Documents may be attached electronically or delivered to the Clint ISD Central Administration Building at 14521 Horizon Blvd., El Paso, TX 79928. Required documents include a college or university transcript showing the applicable degree, a Texas teaching certificate with the required endorsement or an alternative certification program eligibility letter together with content exam results, a current resume, and a Texas driver’s license.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
- Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements.
- Demonstrated competency in the assigned core academic subject area.
- At least one year of student teaching or an approved internship.
- Master's degree in Government and Economics (History/Social Studies).
- Knowledge of the assigned core academic subject.
- Knowledge of curriculum and instruction.
- Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Submit a college or university transcript showing the applicable degree.
- Submit a Texas teaching certificate with the required endorsement, or an alternative certification program eligibility letter and content exam results.
- Submit a current resume and Texas driver's license.
