About The Position
The Social Services Worker provides social service assistance to eligible clients, including food, clothing, and financial assistance. The role interviews clients to assess their needs and eligibility, prepares client records, and connects clients with community agencies. Weekly food bank deliveries include 1–2 hours of outdoor work.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED and two years of experience working in a social or public service environment assisting the public, or an equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English and Spanish.
- Valid state driver's license.
- Must complete a Level 2 background screening.
Nice To Haves
- Spanish language skills are preferred.
Responsibilities
