About The Position

This full-time regular position is responsible for preparing, completing, and processing food, clothing, and furniture vouchers for eligible clients. The role involves providing food from the pantry, receiving and stocking donated items, and maintaining an inventory of pantry disbursements. Additionally, the position processes rent and utility financial assistance, contacts utility organizations and landlords, and answers telephone inquiries, providing information about the Social Service Program. The role also assists the public in locating missing persons and performs related work for special and seasonal projects.

Requirements

High school diploma or G.E.D.
Two years experience working in a social or public service environment with experience assisting the public, or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Valid Driver License is required

Responsibilities

Prepares, completes, and processes food, clothing, and furniture vouchers for eligible clients.
Provides clients with food from pantry; receives and stocks items donated for the pantry; maintains an itemized account of pantry disbursements and inventory.
Processes rent and utility financial assistance for eligible clients; contacts utility organizations and landlords to arrange and process financial assistance.
Answers telephone in a courteous and tactful manner; assists clients by providing accurate and complete information regarding the Social Service Program operations and/or services; assists public in locating missing persons.
Performs related work for special and seasonal projects.
Performs other related work as required.
