The position may be in Anchorage or Juneau , depending upon the location of the most qualified candidate. What You Will Be Doing: Join our team and play a key role in managing crisis counseling and disaster response and recovery programs for vulnerable Alaskans! The Division of Behavioral Health is looking for an organized and flexible individual to coordinate behavioral health activities with federal, state, tribal, and local partners to support disaster-affected communities. You will develop and maintain cooperative agreements, stakeholder partnerships, and community networks to support outreach and recovery efforts. You will oversee grant-funded services, contracts, budgets, and performance outcomes to ensure program goals are achieved, and fiscal accountability is maintained. Requirements

Knowledge of requirements, practices, and procedures for soliciting, receiving, reviewing, and processing proposals, and awarding and administering grants and agreements.
Plans, coordinates, and monitors programs to ensure that federal, state, and/or local government program requirements and plans are met, providing professional consultation on the specialized services of the programs or associated project(s).
Analytical Thinking/Problem Solving: uses a logical, systematic, sequential approach to address problems or opportunities or manage a situation by drawing on one’s knowledge and experience base and calling on other references and resources as necessary.

Social Services: Knowledge of the concepts, principles, theories, practices, and current trends in social services used in the planning, design, implementation, and/or evaluation of programs that provide a broad range of social supports to individuals, families, and communities.
Any combination of preparatory post-secondary education and/or professional level experience providing, developing, administrating, or managing social/health services or social/health service programs.
