The Department of Natural Resources, Division of Mining, Land & Water, is recruiting for a Natural Resource Specialist 1 in Anchorage. This position is open to Alaska Residents only. The role offers broad exposure to the division's work and is a great opportunity to grow within the Department of Natural Resources. You will be involved in scanning, auditing, and archiving various DMLW case files, including permits, easements, and leases across the three regional land offices, while contributing to the development of our proprietary content management system. The Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is dedicated to developing, conserving, and maximizing the use of Alaska's natural resources in a manner consistent with the public interest. Our mission at the Division of Mining, Land & Water (DMLW) is to responsibly manage Alaska's state-owned land and water to ensure their appropriate use while aiming for maximum utilization in line with the public interest. As part of the Contract Initiation and Revenue Recovery Section (CIRR), our role is to support DNR and DMLW in their missions by overseeing the maintenance of state authorizations and ensuring monetary compliance in accordance with the public interest. This role offers the chance to work alongside experienced natural resource professionals and gain hands-on experience with various programs within DMLW.
