This leadership role involves managing a major agency unit, section, division, or program, and directing staff in their assigned functions. The manager will develop and recommend policies, participate in program analysis, advise staff on policy interpretation, evaluate program effectiveness, and develop controls for program operation. Additionally, the role includes developing personnel policies, participating in scholarship selections, and directing staff training programs. Employees at this level supervise professional and paraprofessional social service specialists and may direct comprehensive programs in various treatment settings, conferring with medical staff and department heads on professional matters.
