About The Position

Riddle Village is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Full-Time Social Services Manager to join their team. This role is primarily responsible for managing the social services department and meeting the psychosocial needs of residents residing in the Skilled Nursing Facility and Independent Community. The Social Services Manager will perform assigned social service functions efficiently and in a timely manner, reporting directly to the Nursing Home Administrator. Riddle Village is a continuing care retirement community with a long-standing tradition of supporting not only residents but also employees. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Human Services
  • Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience
  • Strong organization and customer service skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledgeable of Medicare guidelines and familiarity with MDS documentation
  • Ability to develop rapport with residents, their families, and staff
  • Background and experience commensurate with long-term care services and/or geriatrics
  • Demonstrated interest, skills, and abilities in working with and understanding the needs of aging adults
  • Ability to interact competently with residents, families, staff, and outside agencies
