The Forsyth County Department of Social Services is seeking to hire a motivated self-starter with excellent communication and leadership skills for a Social Services Division Director for the following areas: Family and Children's Medicaid, Adult Medicaid, Non-Emergency Medicaid Transportation, and Medicaid Training and Quality Assurance. This position is responsible for planning, administering, coordinating, and directing the Medicaid Services Division in tasks designed to achieve Federal, State, and local goals, guidelines, and policies. This position is responsible for 147 positions, including three Program Managers and fourteen supervisors. This position ensures that all Medicaid Services activities and support functions are focused on delivering services and benefits to eligible clients utilizing Federal, State, and local guidelines. The delivery of these benefits must be done within the time limits, accurately, and efficiently within the State NCFAST system. The person in this position must ensure that all staff are involved in the above activities and understand their role in the support of the community regarding these benefits. This includes not only technical expertise in policy, procedures, and NCFAST but also customer service skills. This person will also have working knowledge of HR policies and procedures and work collaboratively with HR representatives. Makes approval decisions related to recruiting, selecting, developing, counseling, disciplining, and evaluating the performance of employees.
