About The Position

The Division of Child Protection Services impacts children and families' lives every day by assessing safety, providing intervention, and securing stability for children. This position supports family services specialists and provides services in the homes of families receiving intervention services. The role involves transportation of parents and children and requires working with families who have experienced trauma. Duties are performed in various settings including offices, client homes, and courtrooms, and may involve high-level stress, emotional situations, and potential exposure to danger and diseases.

Requirements

  • Establish and maintain effective and collaborative working relationships
  • Demonstrate compassion, respect, courtesy, and tact when interacting with others
  • Utilize a computerized data and technology systems
  • Prepare clear and concise documentation, reports, and correspondence that reflect relevant facts
  • Actively listen, elicit needed information, and communicate information
  • Organize time and resources to complete assignments and meet schedules and deadlines
  • Operate a motor vehicle to transport children and family members
  • Make appropriate and timely decisions in stressful situations and maintain objectivity
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds in a safe manner
