About The Position

Under the direct supervision of a PCSA Supervisor, assists PCSA staff by providing at-home and in-office services to assigned families to ensure compliance with reunification plans. The incumbent is also responsible for providing educational and parent training services and maintaining regular contact with PCSA staff regarding visitation and at-home services. This role involves supporting PCSA case staff by providing services to assigned children, adults, and families, including scheduling appointments, completing referrals, administering drug screens, and obtaining medical/educational information. The position requires scheduling visits, monitoring parent and child interaction, providing education and parent training, assisting with Family Search and Engagement, facilitating Family Team Meetings and Semi-Annual Reviews, preparing documentation, collecting data, assisting adoptive families with resources, supporting the Independent Living program, transporting family members, coordinating meetings, typing correspondence, answering inquiries, entering documentation into the SACWIS system, reviewing and scanning documents, maintaining files, and testifying in court. The role also requires staying current in areas of responsibility through training and maintaining regular attendance. The incumbent will operate a motor vehicle as needed.

Requirements

  • Ability to operate computers for data input and retrieval.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office and web browsers (Internet Explorer and Google Chrome).
  • Knowledge of CRIS-E, OIES, SACWIS, ODAPS, OWCMS, SETS, CFIS, MUNIS, MITS, BUY-IN, eGateway, eQuil, CCIDS, OCLQS, CLEARS, Courtview, Time Force, Traverse, Agency’s Digital Imaging systems and other systems as required by program area responsibility.
  • Operates equipment such as: personal computer, printer, calculator, multi-functional copier, fax machine, shredder, cell phone, camera and children’s car seats.
  • Adhere to the rules of the agency (i.e. take breaks/lunches when scheduled, clock in/out appropriately, conform to dress code policy).

Responsibilities

  • Provide at-home and in-office services to assigned children, adults, and families.

  • Assist in developing and collecting aggregate data for evaluation and planning purposes.
  • Assist adoptive families to access resources specific to their needs.
  • Assist with the Independent Living program.
  • Transport family members as needed or assigned.
  • Assist with the coordination of meetings.
  • Type routine correspondence/forms, process, copy and file documents.
  • Answer general inquiries on the phone and/or in person.
  • Enter assigned documentation into the SACWIS system.
  • Review and scan documents received into Traverse.
  • Maintain files to include case notes, documentation & verifications as required.
  • Testify in court as subpoenaed or assigned.
  • Keep current in areas of responsibility by attending skill development conferences, seminars, or State-sponsored programs.
  • Operate a motor vehicle as needed to perform the essential functions.
  • May assist in training new employees.
  • Perform other related Essential and Non-Essential functions as needed.
