About The Position

This position is located in Baton Rouge, LA Office of Early Childhood Operations Job Focus Area. This role primarily focuses on determining and maintaining eligibility for the Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP). This involves assessing eligibility, case management, family support/communication, and collaborative teamwork. Applicants with experience in eligibility determination or case management are encouraged to apply.

Requirements

• Three years of experience in social services; OR Six years of full-time experience in any field; OR A bachelor's degree.
• Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.
• Communicating Effectively: The ability to convey information, ideas, and emotions using structured communication methods that promote understanding and engagement.
• Following Policies and Procedures: The ability to follow, reinforce, adapt, or develop policies and procedures to maintain compliance with federal and state legal requirements, State Civil Service rules, and organizational policies.
• Demonstrating Accountability: The ability to take ownership of actions, behaviors, performance, decisions, and outcomes.
• Managing Time: The ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and allocate time to ensure timely completion of work goals.
• Acting with Ethics and Integrity: The ability to make choices that reflect ethical standards, integrity and honesty, regardless of circumstances or personal benefit.

Responsibilities

• Gather and analyze information to determine if families are eligible for CCAP, both initially and on an ongoing basis.
• Understanding and consistent application of complex federal, state, and agency policies.
• Accurately and efficiently processing all case activities by required deadlines.
