About The Position

Ligori & Ligori Attorneys at Law is seeking a Social Security Disability Case Manager to provide high-level customer service and establish the firm's relationship with qualified potential clients. In this role, you will work closely with attorneys for SSD. You must be highly organized and familiar with the SSD application, claims process, medical records, SSD forms, evidence development, and client communication in Social Security Disability cases. Job duties may change as required, without notice.

Requirements

  • Must have a High school diploma or GED.
  • Highly organized with the ability to multitask, prioritize, handle a fast-paced environment, and manage workload with a great attitude and minimal supervision.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including good presentation skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s degree in Paralegal Studies
  • At least one (1) year prior experience as a Legal Assistant in a law firm’s Social Security Disability department
  • Experience with Personal Injury Case Management

Responsibilities

  • Take care of administrative tasks such as answering phones and maintaining an organized filing system for all legal documents and client billing.
  • Maintain accurate case notes and ensure all client communications and case activities are properly documented in case management program.
  • Conduct interviews and communicate regularly with clients and witnesses to gather information about their legal issues, provide updates, and schedule meetings, and hearings.
  • Obtain, review, and organize medical records and other supporting evidence.
  • Review claims files and identify missing evidence, records, or development needed to support a social security disability claim.
  • Prepare and submit SSD forms, correspondence, appeals, and other case-related documents.
  • Assist attorneys with the preparation, development, and prosecution of social security disability claims.
  • Monitor and track filing deadlines, appeals deadlines, and other critical case milestones.
  • Provide general administrative assistance, such as maintaining the attorney’s calendar and making travel arrangements.
  • Include Personal Injury Case Management as assigned.

  • Base salary range of $45,000 - $55,000 (DOE)
