About The Position

The Social Responsibility Communications Intern supports statewide community programs led by the Social Responsibility and Foundation Team, with a focus on marketing and communications. The intern will learn about Corporate Social Responsibility and Community Impact through project work related to community events, fundraisers, marketing and communications, and impact programs, including volunteer and community events, Random Acts of Kindness, Teacher Appreciation, scholarship programs, and financial wellness education. This is a fast-paced role intended to provide broad experience in Corporate Social Responsibility while contributing to the organization.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Currently pursuing an associate’s or bachelor’s degree from an accredited college; study in nonprofit management, public administration, business, marketing, sustainability, or a similar field is required.
• At least 2 years of experience with standard office software and devices, including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and printers or scanners.

Nice To Haves

• At least 1 year of experience in event planning, project management, nonprofit management, business, or corporate social responsibility, or educational opportunities where similar skills were developed.
• At least 1 year of experience organizing or leading community-focused projects, including volunteer event coordination and recruitment.
• Experience and comfort drafting mass communications and accompanying flyers to support recruitment for Social Responsibility initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, coordination, and implementation of the Social Responsibility Team’s marketing and communications efforts.
• Support the planning and execution of fundraisers and special events, including donor recognition events, fundraisers, and award ceremonies.
• Provide general administrative support, including assembling materials, taking notes, handling email and phone calls, replenishing and organizing supplies, and related tasks.
• Participate in workforce and professional self-development through program observation or shadowing, trainings, meetings, coaching, mentoring, and related activities.
• Assist with research projects that further the Social Responsibility Team’s initiatives.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
