Job Title: Social Media Specialist Department: Marketing and Communications Student Employment Type: Federal Work-Study and Non-Federal Work-Study Responsibilities: Content Creation: Design and produce visually compelling graphic content tailored for Instagram and Facebook Design and produce visually compelling graphic content tailored for LinkedIn Capture, edit, and produce high-quality video and photography content for Instagram Reels highlighting campus life, student engagement, faculty insights, and business-related themes Demonstrate initiative in content execution and adhering to deadlines for content publishing Leverage trends and current events that can be used by Quinnipiac to maximize engagement/reach on socials Content Management & Content Publishing: Plan, schedule, and publish posts to the official Quinnipiac Schools and College channels Accept and manage Instagram collaboration invites from pre-approved Quinnipiac-affiliated profiles to maximize visibility and engagement Strategic Content Alignment: Work directly with the social media team to align content with strategic objectives and campaign messaging developed by QU Marketing and/or Driven Media Adjust content approaches as needed based on performance metrics, platform trends, and feedback from campaign stakeholders Monitor and track competitor schools / programs on content and performance Brand & Content Compliance Review: Submit all created content to the team for review prior to posting to ensure alignment with university guidelines and standards Maintain content consistency with Quinnipiac University’s brand identity, tone, and visual style Other Marketing Projects: Additional marketing projects may be assigned as needed and as time allows Collaboration Use of Collaborative Content Tools : The Social Media Specialist collaborates regularly with internal stakeholders and departments within Quinnipiac University and is a core member of the content creation team supporting the Schools and College social media presence. The Social Media Specialist plays a key role in ensuring content is both engaging and compliant with university branding and social media policies. Hours of Position: Work Hours: 10-15 per week.
