This position serves as the center receptionist for Basic Needs Services, involving greeting students and visitors, answering phones, and taking messages. The role focuses on creating a welcoming environment and assisting students with connecting to appropriate services. Responsibilities include providing accurate information, performing general office support such as data entry and filing, maintaining the tidiness of the center and its resources, and supporting the Basic Needs Services social media accounts. This involves creating content, reviewing analytics, developing strategies for engagement, maintaining a posting schedule, monitoring comments, and cross-promoting events. The assistant will also help with donation collection, prescreening for CalFresh, coordinating CalFresh Outreach and Enrollment Day, and supporting campus-wide programming related to Basic Needs. Additionally, the role involves staffing information tables, assisting with promotional material development, maintaining confidentiality, completing mandatory trainings, attending staff meetings, and staying informed about campus events. Other duties as assigned.
